What is TEAM Leadership Initiative ?

TEAM Lacrosse Academy is proud to present our non-profit T-E-A-M Foundation, the conduit to creating positive female role models and motivated athletes by empowering student-athletes in the Charlotte and Wilmington areas. Launching in January 2019, our vision is to host a leadership course that encapsulates a core curriculum to develop Tomorrow’s Leaders, called the TEAM Initiative. Through TEAM (Together Educating Athletes through Mentorship), we are offering middle school and high school female student-athletes a chance to learn life-skills applicable to the ever-changing atmosphere we live in today.

Over the past few years, TEAM has prided itself on focusing on more than just lacrosse; through the mentorship component of our program we have helped young women both on and off the field and in their personal lives. Given families’ positive feedback, we have recently expanded on this aspect of our program to reach not only lacrosse players, but young female athletes of all sports throughout our community.  In essence, we want to help kids understand the positive effects of empathy, compassion, and relate-ability and couple those with leadership and empowerment exercises.
